Christine is a theatre producer who tends to work with new writing, often in non-theatre spaces. She is Associate Producer at Farnham Maltings, where the team create, produce and commission an often surprising range of new theatre; she works especially closely with performance artists Action Hero who will be exploring European-ness as they drive a motor home around the EU (Oh Europa), actor-musician Catherine Ireton who’s currently touring an immersive piece to hair salons (In Good Hands) and on Dante or Die’s next promenade piece touring leisure centre (Not For The Likes Of Me).
As a freelancer, Christine is producing Birdwatching, an immersive play created by Helen Shutt & Lois Jeary, which challenges why and how we look at other people. A work in progress will be performed at the RADA festival in June 2016.
She has also produced community events, like Time to Remember, music commissioning, performance and town festival to mark the centenary of the first ever two minute silence; also Dance Bus at the Maltings, where she worked with key partners such as Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures & Re:Bourne. She was assistant stage manager at the Opening Ceremony of the Rugby World Cup 2015 and was a production assistant for the sports presentation team.
Christine attended the Stage One producers’ course in 2015. Also a chartered accountant (ACA), Christine was formerly a corporate tax manager at Deloitte LLP where she specialised in working with non-for-profit organisations.
